How Sube works!

- The Sube curriculum is divided into eight units which span a school year. In the Sube box and manual you will find the following key components for each unit:
A set of color-coded flashcards introducing the core vocabulary through interactive games that develop comprehension and speaking skills.
A multicultural music video which reinforces the same vocabulary and pronunciation through authentic cultural rhythms.
Student Worksheets that develop reading and writing skills around the unit vocabulary.Art projects for visual and creative development around the content.Interactive games such as Yeehaw Bingo and the Alphabet Snake puzzle where they practice speaking and understanding English in groups.
Kinesthetic activities that reinforce the content through movement and play.
Benefits: These multisensory components are provided for each unit to addresses the diverse learning modalities of your class throughout content areas, and makes learning fun and engaging for all students. By creating a safe and playful environment through art, music and games, your students will build confidence and self-esteem around learning a new language.
- The Sube teaching system focuses on developing oral language skills throughout the games and right from the start so that students learn not only how to read or understand English, but to speak!
Benefits: Many language programs on the market focus on reading and writing, and then find that students are not actually speaking or understanding English. The Sube curriculum provides a unique system that integrates oral and comprehension skills into the games and activities so that these skills are being developed simultaneously with reading and writing.
- The user-friendly manual provides the detailed multisensory lessons for each unit (eight units total) so that you don't have to develop lessons and plan your curriculum. This is all done for you through a series of sequential lessons that are integrated with the Sube components.
Benefits: For teachers instructing in one hour or 30 minute sessions, the Sube lessons are ready-to-go. For daily instruction, the modules are easily adapted by alternating activities. Little prep time is needed, and the materials are included or readily available in your classroom, thereby simplifying the teaching process.
- The Activity section of the manual includes over 200 activities developed through many years of study on the best way for kids to learn a langauge. Sube's research-based methodology is integrated into the activities and designed to address the unique needs of the second language learner.
Benefits: This feature is a tremendous help for the experienced language specialist, as well as for the classroom teacher without specialized training in second language instruction. Proven strategies and tips are built into the activities right when you need them, as you are implementing.
- Sube has many assessment and evaluation tools that help you to meet your school standards and to track individual student student progress. We call these tools the Accountability Pack, and they are designed to achieve successful implementation in the classroom.
Benefits: Sube has the unique combination of offering a fun and interactive approach to language learning, while meeting international standards and providing solid tools for evaluating and tracking student progress. One of the greatest challenges of teaching a second language in schools is providing a consistent and sequential system that tracks student progress. Sube addresses this challenge and this makes the teachers and the schools happy.
- Each kit includes free online and phone support to help you as you learn the exciting new Sube system for teaching English to children through art, music and games. In addition, we offer a Teacher Forum and Parent Forum so that you can communicate with other teachers using the Sube program.
Benefits: The Sube program is self contained and easy to use, but we want to make sure that you have support if you should need it. We understand that implementation is the key to a successful language program and are available to answer any questions you may have as you implement Sube in your classroom.
