How Sube works!

• The Sube curriculum is divided into eight units which span a school year. For each unit or you receive:

Color-coded flashcards that introduce the core vocabulary through interactive games that develop comprehension and speaking skills

A multicultural music video which reinforces the vocabulary and pronunciation

A Student Workbook for reading and writing exercises

Art projects for creative development

Interactive games such as Ay Caramba Bingo and Go Fish

Kinesthetic activities that teach through movement.

Benefits: These multimedia components are provided for each unit to addresses the diverse learning modalities of your class throughout content areas, and makes learning fun and engaging for all students.

• The Sube curriculum provides an academically sound curriculum that develops reading and writing, as well as comprehension and speaking skills.

Benefits:  Many language programs on the market focus on reading and writing, and then find that students are not actually speaking or understanding Spanish. The Sube curriculum provides a unique system that integrates oral and comprehension skills into the games and activities so that these skills are being developed simultaneously with reading and writing.

• The user-friendly manual provides four sample multisensory lessons for each unit (eight units total) that are used as a model to create additional weekly or daily lessons. 

Benefits: For teachers instructing in one hour or 30 minute sessions, the Sube lessons are ready-to-go.  For daily instruction, the modules are easily adapted by alternating activities. Little prep time is needed, and the materials are included or readily available in your classroom, thereby simplifying the teaching process.

 

• The Activity section includes over 200 activities that incorporate research-based teaching strategies designed to address the unique needs of the second language learner.

Benefits: This feature is a tremendous help to teachers just starting or without specialized training in second language instruction. Strategies and tips are built into the activities right when you need them, as you are implementing.

• Sube is a research-based academic curriculum and provides an Accountability Pack which includes standard alignments, and evaluation tools to track student progress and assure successful implementation in the classroom.

Benefits: Sube has the unique combination of offering a fun and interactive approach to language learning, while meeting international language standards and providing solid tools for evaluating and tracking student progress.

 

• Each kit includes free online and phone support to help you as you learn the exciting new Sube system for teaching Spanish to children through art, music and games. In addition, we offer a Teacher Forum and Parent Forum so that you can communicate with other teachers using the Sube program. 

Benefits: The Sube program is self contained and easy to use, but we want to make sure that you ave support if you should need it. We understand that implementation is the key to a successful language program and are available to answer any questions you may have as you implement Sube in your classrom.
