How can Sube work in your school?
Below
are some examples of classroom environments where Sube has been proven
successful. You can also view a list of schools using Sube under Sube Clients.
Public schools
Sube is being used district wide in school districts because it provides unique features that address the needs of heritage language and second language instruction in public schools. For example, Sube meets international and state standards for language learning and provides an Accountability Pack which includes evaluation charts, unit exams, standard alignment and a curriculum map to address learning gaps and customize the curriculum. it also provides scope and sequence and two levels, Beginner and Intermediate.
Private and charter schools
Private schools that have a Spanish teacher serving the entire school population benefit tremendously from the Sube program. The Sube kits are age-appropriate for preschool through 5th grade, and are proficiency based. This means that if your Kindergarten students and your 5th grade students are all at the beginning level, you would use the same kit, making it a cost effective solution to your language needs. All the materials fit in a convenient carry box and can be easily transported from class to class. Private schools usually offer Spanish classes once or twice a week in 30 minutes to one hour sessions. The Sube lessons are divided onto one hour modules and require very little prep time as all the materials are included or readily available in your classroom.
Faith-based schools
We have a growing community of faith based schools using the Sube materials. The structure and needs are similar to those of private schools. In addition, we believe that Sube's natural approach to language learning, providing a loving and creative approach to teaching makes it compatible with faith based teaching styles.
Language and Afterschool Programs
Sube Language programs have been implemented within established learning centers such as FasTracKids, and as afterschool programs in schools and community centers with tremendous success. The art, music and games approach makes learning Spanish fun and easy for the student as well as the teacher. Parent Take-Home Sheets and Evaluation Charts help track student progress and faciliate the communication between school and parents.efule to theeluthasTrackKids Duluth
Those wanting to start a Spanish school in their home, school or neighborhood
We have so many moms and teachers that are trying to start a business teaching Spanish to kids in their communities. The Sube kit is a perfect solution for this group because that was exactly how Sube got started! The developer, Agnes Chavez, started an afterschool program and it has over the past 12 years evolved into an adaptable language model for diverse classroom environments. Nevertheless, it has retained its original format of one hour modules and includes all the materials one needs to teach Spanish in small informal environments. Teachers getting started encounter so many challenges and this kit provides the solutions due to years of research and field testing, assuring that kids are engaged, motivated and learning Spanish.
