Trujillo, Spain Project I, 2003: This was our first workshop as part of a new partnership between the National Hispanic Cultural Center and the Museo de La Coria located in Trujillo, in the region of Extramadura. Many of the Hispanic families that settled New Mexico during the conquest came from the region of Extramadura. With the goal of reestablishing ties, the two cultural centers aim to promote cultural and educational exchange by creating connections between their communities. In this workshop teachers from the Catholic school, Sagrado Corazon learned how to create Digital Stories to teach to their students. The next year they created a Digital Storytelling elective and the students learned the process. These were some of the wonderful stories produced at this workshop.(Spanish)
