ESL Curriculum Samples

We want you to be sure that you understand how Sube works and how the manual is structured so that you can decide whether it is right for you. We can also provide additional sections from the manual or components from the kit upon request.
The Sube curriculum is divided into eight units. Each unit includes a set of flashcards, lesson plans, a series of multisensory activities outlined in the activities section, a parent take home sheet, student worksheets, and a theme-specific music video. It also includes the Accountability Pack (part of the lesson manual) which provides the Benchmark Evaluation Chart, TESOL Standard Alignment and other evaluation tools. Sube Demo Lesson below provides a step by step plan on how to teach a quick lesson and incorporates pdf files from the list below. The Sube Lesson Plan Sample includes the first section of the Sube Lesson Plans. It includes the Overview Planner for the year and the lessons from the first unit.
The Game Sampler includes a series of games from the Sube ESL curriculum kit that demonstrate how to use the flashcards to develop comprehension and speaking skills in a fun and interactive way.
Parent Take-Home Sheet (pdf)
The Parent Take-Home sheet is included with every unit in the Sube ESL curriculum kit and provides activities for parents to review at home with their child.
TEFL Flashcards (pdf)
The Sube flashcards are included in the Sube ESL curriculum kit. They contain black and white illustrations printed on color-coded and laminated cards, providing years of classroom use. This file is the reproducible version so that you can print and cut out to try in your classroom. Just download the Game Sampler above and use the flashcards to play the games.
Activity Sheets (pdf)
These Activity Sheets correspond with the Animals Unit in the Sube ESL curriculum kit. Each unit includes a series of activity sheets like these which reinforce reading and writing skills around the target vocabulary.
The Sube Early Reader Book set with reproducibles is part of the Sube ESL curriculum kit. The pdf sample can be printed, cut into books and read to the children as they follow along. One they are familiar with the story, cut out the mini comprehension book from the same page and have them fill-in the-blanks.
